Have you ever wanted to go on a short-term mission trip, but just didn’t feel like you could spare the time, the money, or both? What if that mission trip were right here in Columbus and lasted less than a week?
That’s what we have planned for June 4-8. The Week of Hope will offer a variety of service and outreach opportunities with local ministry partners, and help our members stay connected with those partners on an ongoing basis.
“Living out our life of faith is a priority of CCC and it starts within our local context,” said Pam Bone, CCC Director of LIVE Ministries. “We want to engage with the community by supporting local ministry partners and carrying out acts of love and service.”
Week of Hope will begin this Sunday, with most ministry teams gathering at 4 p.m. to pray, discuss their upcoming work and prepare any materials that may be needed. The work will take place Monday through Thursday, with two-hour shifts available in the mornings and afternoons (see below).
“We hope God will open our eyes to the things that He cares about,” Pam Bone said. “We want to show support and the love of Christ to our partners in ministry and to individuals in our community, and we hope this week will inspire more of the CCC family to connect and serve in an ongoing capacity.”
