I was raised by my parents in Cataula, Georgia, and I have been actively involved in children’s and youth ministry in a variety of settings since I was 14. I graduated from Columbus State University in 2005 with a Bachelor’s degree in English. SInce then, I have been a middle school teacher and have loved this precious time with my students. I am passionate about my new role as a staff member at CCC because it allows me to help children know Jesus and help equip families to nurture their faith.
I have been married to David Williams for fifteen years, and we are parents to our twin daughters, Delia and Norah and our nephew, Luke.
Life verse: Isaiah 42:16 – “ I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them.” This verse has always been very special to me as a promise from the Lord that whatever I am called to, He will guide me and show me the way.
Favorite foods: It’s hard for me to choose a favorite anything, but I love anything with a Southwestern flair and anything that my dad cooks!
Favorite movie: It’s sooo hard for me to choose a favorite, but I love old musicals, superhero movies, and romantic comedies. I love movies that no matter how many times you watch them, you will still stop and watch them again. With that being said, I think Steel Magnolias is probably one of my all-time favorites
Hobbies, pastimes and interests: I love to travel, and I have a real passion for musical theatre. I also enjoy reading, painting and spending time with my daughters, nieces and nephews.
Ambitions / aspirations: I would like to earn my Master’s degree and visit as many national parks and foreign countries as possible.
What I like to read: Again, it is difficult to choose! I love dystopian literature, fantasy, Southern literature and historical fiction, but I also enjoy reading on all different non-fiction topics.
People are surprised to know: I love to paint, and I was a competitive dancer growing up.
Best counsel / advice I ever received: Never complain about something without offering to be a part of the solution.
My staff role at CCC: I have the privilege of overseeing the planning and implementation of programs and classes that minister to the children of CCC and their families.
What I enjoy most about serving at CCC: This church has not stopped amazing me from the Sunday that I attended as a visitor. It is full of dynamic people and innovative ministries, and I am honored to be a part of that.
