RELIEF GIFTS

Over the last few weeks, it seems like our world has been in perpetual chaos. From the devastating earthquake that took place in Haiti, to the unfortunate situation in Afghanistan, it feels like things are out of control.

And as the Church, we grieve with our brothers and sisters who are left without homes and who are being persecuted and displaced.

Many of us feel helpless as we watch countless images of these tragedies play out in the media … and while this is a God-sized problem, He has equipped the Church with resources that come from generous people like you that can then be His hands and feet.

We want to remind you that we designate 10% of all giving to our church to be used for Kingdom work.

Because of your continued generosity, we will contribute $10,000 to the FMC Bishop’s Relief fund for Haiti. This relief fund will provide direct aid to those who were displaced and are in need in the aftermath of the earthquake.

We will also be contributing $10,000 to our partner Impact Middle East to help in Afghanistan. Impact Middle East is a well-established ministry that is prepared to provide help for the anticipated influx of refugees that will be feeling Afghanistan.

If you wish to join us in this effort, please and click the links below to learn about each organization and to give, or if you desire your contribution be made by cash or check, please indicate in the memo line where you desire your gift to be sent and mail to:

“When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.  Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” Matthew 9:36
