Director of LIVE Ministries

I was born in Columbus and have lived here my entire life. I graduated from Columbus College in 1989 with a BBA of Finance and spent 15 years working for CB&T and Synovus in Operations and Finance. After a few years of being a stay-at-home mom, I opened a Marco’s Pizza and operated it for four years, then sold it in 2012. I am married to Jimmy, also born and raised here in Columbus. We have two young-adult sons, Gantt and Curtis. We started attending and serving at CCCC in late 2007 and I joined the staff in June 2014.
Life verse: Philippians 2: 1-8 – “This call to selflessness and humility was foundational to my salvation and calling. If I am united with Him, I should be of like mind and have the same love.”
Favorite foods: Popcorn, chips and salsa, Five Guys french fries, buttermilk pie, donuts from Bulgaria.
Favorite movie: “The Shawshank Redemption” and “The Green Mile.” But I like most all movies without chainsaws
Hobbies, pastimes and interests: Being with close friends, walking in the woods, walking on the beach, coffee at an outdoor café, all animals but especially dogs, projects in the yard, working out, sightseeing.
Ambitions / aspirations: To help others discover and walk out the calling on their life; to visit and have friends on every continent.
What I like to read: True stories.
People are surprised to know: I competed in state level gymnastics as a child, I have an affection for frogs and lizards, and I struggle with always feeling inadequate.
Best counsel / advice I ever received: Look for the good in everyone and capitalize on that. … Don’t expect what you haven’t communicated. … Take responsibility for doing the things that are important to you.
My staff role at CCC: As Director of LIVE ministries, I oversee all of our mission and outreach efforts, from here in Columbus to various locations around the world.
What I enjoy most about serving at CCC: Almost everything! I love people and serving God with others.
