Executive Administrative Assistant

.I grew up an Air Force kid and moved to Columbus as an adult. I accepted Christ as my Savior at 12 years old and have loved the Lord ever since. My career has always been administrative and analyst work, which ultimately led me to CCC after taking time off to be a stay-at-home mom. I love my family, my dogs and my life, and I try to live everyday knowing that with God, anything and everything is possible.
Life verse: Ephesians 5:19 – “... speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord.”
Favorite foods: Raspberries, blackberries, steak.
Favorite movie: I like movies that inspire me.
Hobbies, pastimes and interests: I like having fun with my kids, doing crafts of any kind, making homemade decorations, scrapbooking and bike riding.
Ambitions / aspirations: I want to be a Godly wife to my husband and a Godly mom to my children so they can grow in their walk and be in a deep and close relationship with Christ. I want to be the hands and feet of Jesus to whoever comes into my life. I want God to be bigger in my life than I am, so I can listen and follow Him wherever he leads me.
What I like to read: Books that encourage and motivate, and fiction books set in the late 1800s and early 1900s.
People are surprised to know: My senior year in high school I was a DJ for an AM station, spinning records and playing commercials from reel-to-reel tapes. I enjoyed talking into the night air, hoping for a just a few listeners.
Best counsel / advice I ever received: “Everything in life has consequences. Live your life aware of the good and bad consequences of every decision you make.” This has helped me take responsibility and ownership of my decisions. My dad gave me this advice often in life, helping me when I faced decisions, instead of making decisions for me.
My staff role at CCC: I lead the Volunteer Central Team, which helps support the CCC office. I am the Executive Administrative Assistant for the River and Equipping Staff, and help others on staff as needed. I coordinate logistics and decorations for several large events and retreats throughout the year, as well as work on projects as needed.
What I enjoy most about serving at CCC: I enjoy working with everyone at CCC because they are committed to serving the Lord and serving each other with amazing love for each other. I enjoy coming to work every day with people who show grace and compassion to everyone they come in contact with.
