Serve Connect Information

Mission: Establishing small groups of 10-13 people who meet together weekly to share their lives through authentic sharing, prayer, study, fellowship, and service.

Areas of Service:

• CG Facilitator

• CG Host - Serve by opening your home for a CG’s weekly meeting. Only pre-requisite is to be a faithful group member. Hosts may choose to provide light refreshments, but generally group members share in this together.
• CG Facilitator - Serve by giving broad leadership and direction in a community group.
  Pre-requisites:
  * CCC membership (completed Discovery Classes)
  * Past participation in community group (at CCC or similar church)
  * Completion of CCC Facilitator Embryo Training Group (offered 2x a year)
  Aspects of role:
  * Guide the group in making decisions and pursuing their vision.
  * Facilitate the group’s weekly meeting
  * Invite other group members to facilitate the group’s times for sharing & prayer, and study
  * Fuel the group’s desire to serve others beyond the group
  * Take initiative to address group issues/difficulties.
  * Be prayerful and sensitive to member’s needs.
  Commitment:
  * Faithfully participate in the group.
  * Participate in CCC’s broader leadership community:
     (3 all-leaders gatherings and 4 CONNECT Team gatherings per year).
  * Meet one-on-one with the CONNECT Pastor 4x a year.
  * Serve in this role for at least one full life cycle of a group (1-2 yrs.)
  
• CG Apprentice Facilitator - Serve in a Facilitator support role towards becoming a CG Facilitator.
  Pre-requisites:
  * CCC membership, centered around our Discovery classes. (Completed or in progress)
  Aspects of role:
  This is a training position. Apprentices will have planned opportunities to facilitate the group’s meeting with guidance and support from the group’s Facilitator. Commitment:
  * Faithfully participate in the group.
  * Periodically facilitate the group’s meeting.
  * Participate in our Facilitator Embryo Training Group (at some point in time).
  * Commit to becoming a regular GC Facilitator in the near future.
• Facilitator Shepherd - Serve by giving pastoral support to 4-5 CG Facilitators
  Pre-requisites:
  * CCC membership (having completed our Discovery classes)
  * Past service as a CG Facilitator here at CCC.
  Aspects of role:
  * Pray regularly for your CG Facilitators.
  * Connect individually with your CG Facilitators.
  * Keep the CONNECT Pastor informed of significant developments in your 4-5 CG’s.
  Commitment:
  * Connect individually with your CG facilitators every 2 months.
  * Participate in CCC’s broader leadership community:
     (3 all-leaders gatherings and 4 CONNECT Team gatherings per year).
  * Meet one-on-one with the CONNECT Pastor 4x a year.
  * Serve in this role for at least 2 yrs.
• Admin & Communications Support - Assist the CONNECT Pastor with CG communication, contacts, referrals, and group rosters.
  Pre-requisites: None
  Aspects of role:
  * Follow up phone calls.
  * Website changes.
  * CONNECT booth display.
  * CG data entry. Commitment:
  * Varied opportunities for weekly, monthly, or even periodic service.
  * 1-year commitment after a 1-2 month trial period.
